Daniel Friedman (US, Chairman)
Daniel Mark Friedman is the Chairman of the Guru Dev Legacy Trust, established in December 2014 to locate, preserve and publish the oral discourses of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati. Dan’s interest in Swami Brahmananda Saraswati was kindled when he learned Transcendental Meditation in 1970. He became a Transcendental Meditation Teacher in 1972 and taught TM at the New York City TM Center. Dan is retired from a 30-year career in banking and is now committed to the mission of the Guru Dev Legacy Trust. Dan is married, has two grown children and lives in New York City.
Sanjay Shrivastava (India)
Sanjay Shrivastava is a grandson of Bramhaleen Shri Jugal Kishore Shrivastavaji, a direct disciple of Poojya Shri Guru Dev, and the elder son of Shri Umesh Kumar Shrivastava. Sanjay possesses a master’s degree in Science followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. Capitalizing on his entrepreneurship skills, Sanjay has been cherishing over 25 years’ rich experience in promoting distance education mode for professional learning through nationally accredited institutions on pan India basis. He has also been into freelance consultancy services towards service related matters in the education sector and setting up of the universities . He is continuing his family tradition of service to Guru Dev under the guidance of his father. Sanjay oversees a vast collection of contemporary material including original Ashram Newsletters collected by his grandfather and father pertaining to Guru Dev.
Robert Sanders (US)
Robert Sanders was taught Transcendental Meditation in 1976 and later became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation in Seelisberg, Switzerland. Robert spent fifteen years working full-time in the Transcendental Meditation organization, including serving as the Chairman of the TM Center in Washington, D.C. and as part of a team teaching TM in India. Robert has practiced law in the United States for the past thirty years. Robert is the author of A Short Biography of Guru Dev, which is posted as an e-book in the “Books” section of this website. He is also presently writing a ten chapter book titled The Nectar of Vedanta that presents the knowledge of Vedanta through the prism of the teaching of Guru Dev and his two principal disciples, Swami Shantanand Saraswati and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Lothar Heggmair (Germany)
Lothar Heggmair learned Transcendental Meditation as a student in 1963. He received a degree in theoretical physics from Munich University and was a senior executive at BMW until his retirement in 2006. Lothar became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation in 2008. His passion for many years has been studying ancient and modern Indian spiritual traditions and masters especially in comparison with European mystics and philosophers like Meister Eckhart. He finds the teaching of Guru Dev to be an ideal supplement to the practice of meditation, providing a 24 hour program for spiritual growth. For the last few years he has been studying Sanskrit and Hindi in order to get a direct approach to Guru Dev´s teachings.
